Beschreibung

Application

Uridin-5′-triphosphat-Natriumsalzlösung wird zum Erhöhen des intrazellulären Ca²⁺-Spiegels in primären trachealen Epithelzellen von Ratten eingesetzt. Sie wird auch als Nukleotidsubstrat zum Analysieren der Aktivität von MutT-Homolog 1 (MTH1) eingesetzt.

Biochem/physiol Actions

UTP spielt eine Schlüsselrolle im Prozess der Transkription, da es an der RNA-Synthese beteiligt ist. Es ist an der Glykogensynthese, der Proteinglykosylierung und der Biosynthese von Membranphospholipiden beteiligt. UTP ist an der Herstellung von ATP beteiligt, das für Stoffwechselreaktionen unverzichtbar ist.

P2Y-Rezeptoragonist

Uridin-5′-triphosphat (UTP) wird bei einer Nervenverletzung freigesetzt und dient als Agonist für die purinergenen P2Y2-Rezeptoren, die auf der Oberfläche von Schwann-Zellen vorkommen.
