General description
Mannan ist die Hauptkomponente von Hefezellwand-Polysacchariden, die in der Natur verbreitet vorkommen, zum Beispiel in Pflanzen, Bakterien, Hefen und anderen Organismen. Es umfasst ein stark verzweigtes komplexes Kohlenhydrat, ein α-1,6-Gerüst mit α-1,2- und α-1,3-gebundenen Mannosid-Seitenketten.
Application
Mannan aus Saccharomyces cerevisiae wird zum Beschichten der Mikrotiter-Wells zum Quantifizieren der Konzentration von Mannose-bindendem Lectin (MBL) mittels Mannan-Bindungs-ELISA eingesetzt.
Mannan aus Saccharomyces cerevisiae wurde bei einer Untersuchung verwendet, um die nichtopsonische Aufnahme des Mycobacterium-avium-Komplexes durch menschliche Monozyten und Alveolarmakrophagen zu bewerten. [1] Es wurde außerdem in einer Studie verwendet, bei der neue Lektine aus Zwiebeln von Croccus sativum untersucht wurden. [2]
Biochem/physiol Actions
Mannan weist verschiedene biologische Eigenschaften auf, einschließlich antiproliferative, antioxidative und immunmodulatorische Eigenschaften. Es wird als Härtekomponente und Emulsionsstabilisator eingesetzt. Mannan ist auch an der Hemmung der Pathogenadhärenz, Regulation des Bakterienwachstums und Verbesserung der Immunantwort beteiligt.

I understood that the main chain of Mannose typically forms a backbone connected by 1,4-glycosidic bonds. However, I noticed product description states the backbone is connected by 1,6 bonds. Is this different from I previously understood?

If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. What is the molecular weight in Dalton

The molecular weight is not analyzed on a lot to lot basis. It will be a mixture of polymers of variable molecular weights in the range of 34 - 62.5 kDa.
