Application

Spin trap zur Benutzung zusammen mit Fe²⁺ für den Nachweis von NO in Hirn, Niere, Leber und anderen Gewebearten. Simultane Direktmessung von NO* und pO₂ wurde beschrieben. Ein Kupfer-Chelatbildner, der zum Quantifizieren von Kupfer in biologischem Material mittels ESR verwendet wird. Ein Inhibitor für Superoxiddismutase, Ascorbatoxidase und weitere Enzyme.

Wird auch benutzt für die kolorimetrische Bestimmung für kleine Mengen Arsen

Spin trap used in conjunction with Fe²⁺ to detect NO in brain, kidney, liver, and other tissues. Simultaneous direct measurement of NO* and pO₂ has been reported. A copper chelator, it has been used to quantitate copper in biological materials by ESR and is an inhibitor of superoxide dismutase, ascorbate oxidase, and other enzymes.
Also used for colorimetric determination of small quantities of arsenic.
Silver diethyldithiocarbamate has been used in cell culture.

Silver diethyldithiocarbamate (AgDDC) is used to estimate the level of arsenic in human.
