General description

Nonbinding Surface(NBS^™)-Multiwellplatten weisen eine modifizierte Polymeroberfläche (PS) auf, die zu einer nichtionischen hydrophilen Oberfläche (Polyethylenoxid-ähnlich) führt, wodurch die biologische Wechselwirkung minimiert und das Signal-Rausch-Verhältnis verstärkt wird. Die Ergebnisse zeigten die Fähigkeit von NBS′, die Protein- und Nukleinsäurebindung an Polymere signifikant zu verringern (<2 ng/cm²; mehr als 90 % Verringerung der Proteinbindung verglichen mit PS- & PP-Oberflächen), die Enzymaktivität zu erhalten und die Anhaftung einer Reihe an Zelllinien zu hemmen. Diese neuartige Oberflächentechnologie für Assayplatten eignet sich ideal für homogene Assays wie Scintillation Proximity Assay (SPA). Zusätzlich zu der 20-fachen Steigerung des Signal-Rausch-Verhältnisses zeigten ausgewählte Assays auch eine verbesserte Sensitivität und Spezifizität. Das empfohlene Arbeitsvolumen beträgt 20 μl bis 80 μl für 384-Well-Mikrotiterplatten.
