Biochem/physiol Actions

Derived from a thymic tumour induced in a DBA/2 mouse by methylcholanthrene. The cells were adapted for in vitro growth. The cells have been widely used in toxicity and radiation studies.

Preparation Note

Fischer′s + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Horse Serum (HS)

Maintain cultures between 300,000 to 900,000 cells/ml; 5% CO₂; 37°C.
