Biochem/physiol Actions

Cell morphology is different from the parent clone (A31) and there is a loss of sensitivity to contact inhibition of cell division. The cells are highly tumorigenic. Superinfection with MuLV results in rescue of MSV.

Preparation Note

DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:4 to 1:10 i.e. seeding at 1-3 x 10,000 cells/cm² using 0.1% trypsin for 3-5 minutes; 5% CO₂; 37°C
