General description

EGF-like-domain, multiple 8 (EGFL8), an EGFL7 paralog, is downregulated in metastatic colorectal cancers (CRC) making it a potential prognostic marker for poor prognosis in CRC and advanced gastric cancer.

Application

Anti-EGFL8 polyclonal antibody is used to tag EGF-like-domain, multiple 8 proteins for detection and quantitation by Western blotting and in cells and tissues by immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to study the role of EGF-like-domain, multiple 8 protein as a potential prognostic marker for gastrointestinal cancers such as gastric cancer and colorectal cancer.
