Sterol Regulatory Element-Binding Proteins (SREBPs) are transcription factors that are required for metabolic reprogramming and membrane synthesis in CD8⁺ T cells during the transition from quiescence to activation.[1] SREBF2 is a transcriptional regulator of genes involved in cholesterol biosynthesis and lipid homeostasis.
