Beschreibung

General description

Spermidine trihydrochloride is an aliphatic polyamine. Its crystalline structure has been studied. It has been reported to preserve the nuclei and prevent proteolytic degradation of histones during the macronuclei isolation from Tetrahymena pyriformis.[1]

Application

Spermidine trihydrochloride is used for the following applications:

• DNA extraction and restriction endonuclease digestion[2]
• Nuclear transplantation[3]
• During the chemical analyses of the squid species Todaropsis eblanae[4]
• As one of the agents in intercalating drug.[5]
• Platelet aggregation[6]

It may be used in the synthesis of palladium complexes like [sperH₃]₂[PdCl₄]₃, [PdCl₂(sperH)]₂[PdCl₄], and [(PdCl₂)₃(sper)₂] by reacting with K₂PdCl₄ and PdCl₂.[7]

Biochem/physiol Actions

Es hemmt die neuronale Stickstoffmonoxid-Synthase (nNOS). Bindung und Präzipitation von DNA; kann zur Aufreinigung von DNA-bindenden Proteinen eingesetzt werden. Stimuliert die T₄-Polynukleotidkinase-Aktivität.
