General description

Anti-Zytokeratin 7 reagiert mit Proteinen, die in den meisten Duktus-, Drüsen-, Übergangs- und Gallengang-Epithelzellen vorkommen. Die Markierung mit Zytokeratin 7 (CK7) kann bei der Unterscheidung zwischen Lungen-, Brust- und Urothelkarzinomen helfen, die in der Regel positiv färben, und Darm- und Prostatakarzinomen, denen in der Regel die CK7-Expression fehlt. CK7 ist ein gängiger Marker für primäre Lungenadenokarzinome und kommt auch in anderen primären Lungenkarzinomen und Karzinomen nichtpulmonalen Ursprungs vor. Anti-Zytokeratin 7 hat sich auch bei der Differentialdiagnose von Ovarialneoplasienals nützlich erwiesen.
