Biochem/physiol Actions

Chlortetracyclin ist ein Antibiotikum das von einigen Stämmen von Streptomyces aureofaciens produziert wird.
Vorgehen: Inhibiert die Proteinsynthese (Verlängerung) durch Verhinderung des Bindens von Aminoacyl-tRNA an die 30S-Untereinheit.
Antimicrobielles Spektrum: Gram-positive Bakterien. Weniger aktiv gegen gramnegative Bakterien als Tetracyclin.
Art des Widerstandes: Verlust der Zellwandpermeabilität.
