The CCB cell line was developed from Common carp (Cyprinus carpio carpio) brain.

Preparation Note

EMEM (EBSS) + 2 mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). 10 mM HEPES can be included if a CO₂ incubator is not available.

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:4 to 1:6, i.e., seeding at 2 x 10⁴ cells/cm₂ using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO₂; 25 °C.
