Beschreibung

General description

CD38 is also called ADP-ribosyl cyclase 1, Cyclic ADP-ribose hydrolase 1 (cADPr hydrolase 1), and T10. CD38 synthesizes cyclic ADP-ribose posseses cADPr hydrolase activity, and also acts as a receptor in cells of the immune system. CD38 is expressed in pancreas, liver, kidney, brain, testis, ovary, placenta, malignant lymphoma, and neuroblastoma, as well as in both early and late stages of the B and T-cell maturation, and erythroid and myeloid progenitors in bone marrow.
