Ein zellpermeables N-alkyliertes Carbazol-Derivat, das selektiv den Aufbau von Aktinfilamenten blockiert. Wirkt als selektiver, reversibler Inhibitor von N-WASP (neurales Wiskott-Aldrich-Syndrom-Protein), bei dem es sich um ein signalintegrierendes Protein handelt. Scheint an N-WASP zu binden, die autoinhibierte Konformation zu stabilisieren und die Aktivierung des Arp2/3-Komplexes (aktin-verwandtes Protein 2/3) zu verhindern.
