Beschreibung

General description

Eine zellpermeable, pflanzliche pentazyklische Triterpensäure, die entzündungshemmende, immunmodulatorische und antitumorale Eigenschaften aufweist. Hemmt nachweislich die Phosphataseaktivität von SHP2, PTP1B und TCPTP (IC₅₀ = 2,73, 3,08 bzw. 3,33 µM) und induziert die IR-Autophosphorylierung unabhängig von seiner phosphatasehemmenden Wirkung. Berichten zufolge hemmt Ursolsäure auch die Aktivierung des NF-κB- und STAT3-Signalwegs in Krebskulturen, was zu einer erhöhten Empfindlichkeit gegenüber Chemotherapeutika und zum apoptotischen Zelltod führt.
