Beschreibung

General description

Ein α-Tocopherol (Vitamin E) enthaltender Thiazolidindion-Teil der Klasse der Insulinsensibilisatoren, der als Aktivator der Peroxisom-Proliferator-aktivierten Rezeptoren γ (PPARγ) wirkt. Außerdem hat es proliferationshemmende und entzündungshemmende Eigenschaften. Induziert den Arrest des Zellzyklus und die Apoptose in menschlichen Hepatoma-Zellen. Hemmt die Migration von glatten Gefäßmuskelzellen (VSMC), indem es den MEK/ERK-Signalweg schnell aktiviert, was zur Induktion der Expression von c-fos und Ets-1 führt. Blockiert die PDGF-induzierte Zellproliferation des Pankreas-Stellats und beschleunigt den Umsatz von p21^Cip1 durch Hemmung der PKC_δ-Signalisierung in VSMCs. Übt eine positiv inotrope Wirkung über eine Ca²⁺-Sensibilisierung im sarkoplasmatischen Retikulum aus und hemmt die Na⁺/H⁺ Austauschaktivität und die Proliferation von makrovaskulären Endothelzellen.

Preparation Note

Nach der Rekonstitution in Aliquote aufteilen und einfrieren (-20 °C). DMSO-Stammlösungen sind bei -20 °C bis zu 6 Monate stabil. Ethanol-Stammlösungen sind bei -20 °C bis zu 3 Monate stabil.
