Beschreibung

General description

Eine kurzkettige Fettsäure, die nachweislich die Apoptose in Kolonkarzinom-Zelllinien über einen p53-unabhängigen Weg auslöst. Hemmt das c-myc Spleißen und stört die Signalübertragungsprozesse, einschließlich der Freisetzung von Ca²⁺ aus intrazellulären Speichern. Reduziert die Histamin-induzierte Kalziummobilisierung in C6-Gliomzellen. Verringert die Aktivität der Serin/Threonin-Proteinkinase Caseinkinase II in HT29-Zellen.
