Beschreibung

General description

Ein antioxidatives Flavonoid und ein Scavenger für freie Radikale. Hemmt die zytosolische Glutathion-S-Transferase-Aktivität in der Rattenleber. Zeigt auch zytotoxische Wirkungen auf Raji-Lymphomzellen. Die Inkubation der Nicht-Tumor-Zelllinie C3H10T½;CL8 mit Luteolin führt zu einer Induktion der p53-Akkumulation und Apoptose, wobei die Apoptose in der G₂/M-Phase des Zellzyklus stattfindet. Hemmt zudem nachweislich die TPL2-Kinase.
