Beschreibung

General description

Ein synthetischer HMG-CoA-Reduktase-Inhibitor (IC₅₀ = 40-100 nM für menschliche Leber-Mikrosome), der als Anti-Hypercholesterinämie-Mittel fungiert. Reduziert die MMP-1-Basiswerte in Kulturmedien von Endothelzellen auf zeit- und dosisabhängige Weise. Hemmt die Bildung TBA-reaktiver Stoffe bei Fe(II)-unterstützter Peroxidation vom Liposomen (IC₅₀ = 12 µM). Auch als 10-mM-Lösung in H₂O (Katalog-Nr. 344096) erhältlich.

Preparation Note
