General description

The Mouse monoclonal Anti-T7 tag antibody recognizes the T7 tag sequence on T7-tagged fusion proteins. The T7 tag functions as a marker in many expression vectors.
The T7 tag is a 11 amino acid peptide, encoded in the leader sequence of T7 bacteriophage gene 10. This gene encodes a T7 major capsid protein.

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to the T7-tag (MASMTGGQQMG-K), conjugated to KLH

Application

Monoclonal Anti-T7 tag antibody produced in mouse has been used in western blotting.

Physical form

Solution at approximately 2 mg/ml in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Analysis Note

Antibody is suitable for ELISA and immunoblotting.
