Anti-tumor, anti-allergic, antioxidant and anticholinesterase
Pimpinellin is a coumarin isolated from roots of Angelica dahurica and Zosima absinthifolia that exhibits anti-tumor, anti-allergic, antioxidant and anticholinesterase activities. It appears to reduce the release of histamine, secretion of TBF‑α, interleukin (IL)‑1β and IL‑4. Pimpinellin exhibits potent cytotoxic activities against MGC-803, PC3, and A375 cancer cell lines.
