General description

Extrelut® NT simplifies liquid-liquid extraction in its most effective form by using a chemically inert, wide-pore and highly pure diatomaceous earth based solid phase. Depending on the sample volume three types of columns are available: Extrelut NT1 can take up a maximum of one ml, Extrelut NT3 three ml and Extrelut NT20 up to twenty ml of sample.

Application

  • Simultaneous determination of ethyl carbamate and chloropropanols in flavorings by gas chromatography-triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry: This study utilized Extrelut NT 20 for solid-phase extraction in the analysis of volatile compounds, highlighting its effectiveness in complex sample preparations (Xu et al., 2013).

  • Determination of 10 heterocyclic aromatic amines in beef jerky by high performance liquid chromatography: Extrelut NT 20 was used for extracting aromatic amines from processed food samples, demonstrating its utility in food safety applications (Wan et al., 2012).

  • Determination of chloropropanols in foods by one-step extraction and derivatization using pressurized liquid extraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry: This research showcases the adaptability of Extrelut NT 20 in streamlining the preparation steps for environmental contaminant analysis (Racamonde et al., 2011).

  • Confirmatory analysis of acetylgestagens in plasma using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry: The use of Extrelut NT 20 in this study underlines its critical role in the precise and reliable measurement of pharmaceutical compounds in biological matrices (Mortensen and Pedersen, 2007).

  • Simultaneous quantitative analysis of ketanserin and ketanserinol in plasma by RP-HPLC with fluorescence detection: Demonstrates the application of Extrelut NT 20 in therapeutic drug monitoring, ensuring accurate pharmacokinetic assessments (Yassen et al., 2003).
