Aplicación

Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

Armadillo repeat-containing X-linked protein 3 is a protein encoded by the ARMCX3 gene in humans. It is a member of armadillo (arm) repeat family of proteins that are implicated in tumorigenesis, embryonic development and maintenance of tissue integrity. The gene encodes a mitochondrial-targeted protein (Alex3) that contains several arm-like domains. The protein regulates mitochondrial aggregation and trafficking. Wnt pathway regulates mitochondrial distribution and dynamics through Alex3 protein degradation.
