General description
This Certified Reference Material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO 17034 and ISO/IEC 17025. All information regarding the use of this CRM can be found on the certificate of analysis.
This product was produced and certified from a naturally contaminated matrix and has not been fortified or modified in any way. Analytical data for Certification was obtained using USEPA SW846, 3rd edition methods 3050 (hot block) and 3051(microwave) using nitric acid extraction. Analysis was carried out according to USEPA methods 6010 (ICP-ES), 6020 (ICP-MS) and 7000 (AES).
Application
- Microwave-sustained inductively coupled atmospheric-pressure plasma (MICAP) for elemental analysis: This study presents the use of MICAP as a novel method for the elemental analysis of complex matrix samples, including sewage amended soils, which can enhance trace metal detection capabilities (Serrano et al., 2024).
- Quality assessment of sewage sludge: This research assesses the quality of sewage sludge from the Kumasi wastewater treatment plant, focusing on its application for soil amendment and the associated trace metal contamination risks (Sackey et al., 2023).
- Phytomanagement of trace elements-polluted soils: This study explores the use of Coriander in combination with organic amendments and arbuscular mycorrhizal inoculation as a phytomanagement strategy to remediate soils polluted with trace elements, highlighting a sustainable approach to managing trace metal contamination in sewage amended soils (Fontaine et al., 2022).
- Selenium and zinc enriched sludge as biofertilizers: Investigates the effectiveness of selenium and zinc-enriched sludge and duckweed as slow-release micronutrient biofertilizers for enhancing the growth of Phaseolus vulgaris, demonstrating an innovative approach to utilizing trace metals from sewage sludge in agricultural applications (Li et al., 2022).
