Gene Information

human ... PGK1(5230)

General description

Phosphoglycerate kinase 1 (PGK1) and encoded by the gene names Pgk1 or Pgk-1, is important for phosphoprotein glycolysis. PGK1 is an ATP-generating glycolytic enzyme that forms part of the glycolytic pathway that is often highly expressed in prostate cancer and is regulated by hypoxia-inducible factor-1α. Extracellular PGK1 facilitates the cleavage of plasminogen generating the vascular inhibitor angiostatin.

Immunogen

Epitope: Central region
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide corresponding to the central region of human PGK1.

Application
