General description

Interferon-γ Inducible Protein (IP-10), also known as CXCL-10, is a cytokine that belongs to the CXC chemokine family. It is secreted in response to interferon-γ by neutrophils, monocytes, basophils, epithelial cells and keratinocytes. IP-10 is involved in chemotaxis, apoptosis, angiostasis and inhibits cell growth. The effects of IP-10 are mediated by its receptor, CXCR3. The major signalling pathways that are activated by IP-10 are those of MAPK, PKA, JNK, NF-κB and PI3K/Akt. Alteration of IP-10 levels has been observed in various infectious diseases caused bacteria, fungi and viruses such as dengue, Ebola and hepatitis B
Anti-Interferon-γ Inducible Protein antibody detects human IP-10.

Immunogen

recombinant human IP-10.

Application

Anti-Interferon-γ Inducible Protein antibody may be used for immunoblotting at a working antibody concentration of 1-2 μg/ml. For ELISA, antibody concentration of 0.5-1.0 μg/ml is recommended.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline with 5% trehalose

Preparation Note

Purified using protein G.
