General description
for EU only, for US: Supelco 47506
EPA 624 Calibration Mix 1 can be utilized for identifying and quantifying purgeable halocarbons in municipal and industrial wastewater. The pre-requisite of EPA 624 method is the use of gas chromatography with a selective detector or for gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The analyst may be better equipped to choose between GC and HPLC.
Packed GC columns are described in the EPA 624 method, but chromatographic conditions can be changed (e.g., capillary columns may be used) if the changes do not make the method "less accurate or less precise" than the standard method.
