General description

This certified Snap-N-Spike® solution is suitable for use as a starting material in calibrators and controls for numerous GC/MS or LC/MS applications in forensic analysis, clinical toxicology and urine drug testing. As a major metabolite, 7-aminoclonazepam may be used to monitor use of the parent drug, clonazepam. Clonazepam, marketed as Klonopin® and Rivotril, is a long-acting benzodiazepine with anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, and hypnotic properties.

The number of reports on drug facilitated crimes is increasing these last years. Apart from ethanol and cannabis, benzodiazepines (BZD) and analogs are the most common drugs reported to be used probably due to their amnesic and sedative properties. We

We investigated the role of NAT2 on clonazepam acetylation, using transiently expressed human NAT2 alleles. The NAT25*B and the NAT2*6A variant alleles cause a 20 and 22-fold reduction in the Vmax, respectively. We conclude that NAT2 is responsible for 7-aminoclonazepam

A considerable amount of 7-aminoclonazepam (ACZP), a major metabolite of clonazepam (CZP), is present in the brain during CZP treatment, yet the pharmacological properties of ACZP remain unknown. We investigated the effects of ACZP on the GABA(A) receptor-mediated currents (I(GABA))
