General description

4-Nitrocatechol sulfate is an aromatic sulfate.[1]

Application

4-Nitrocatechol sulfate dipotassium salt has been used as a substrate in mucopolysaccharidoses VI (MPS VI) analysis.[2] It has also been used to measure the activity of glycosaminoglycan (GAG)-degrading enzymes-arylsulfatase B, and exoglycosidases.[3]

Substrates

Chromogenic sulfatase substrate.
