Specificity

MAB2511 recognizes the human VCAM-1 molecule. The antibody inhibits VLA-4 (integrin alpha4beta1) binding and recognizes a different epitope than that which is recognized by MAB2144 (P3C4 clone).

Application

Anti-VCAM-1 Antibody, clone P8B1 detects level of VCAM-1 & has been published & validated.
Function blocking

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user.

Physical form

Format: Purified
Purified immunoglobulin. Liquid in 0.2 M phosphate buffer to 0.25 M NaCl, pH 7.6 with 0.1% sodium azide. Caution: Sodium azide is toxic. See online MSDS.

Storage and Stability

Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C in undiluted aliquots for up to 12 months.

During shipment, small volumes of product will occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial. For products with volumes of 200μL or less, we recommend gently tapping the vial on a hard surface or briefly centrifuging the vial in a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container′s cap.
