Gene Information

human ... DOCK2(1794)

General description

Dock2 (Dedicator of cytokinesis 2), is a large protein involved in intracellular signaling networks and a member of the DOCK-A subfamily which function as activators of small G proteins. Dock2 specifically activates isoforms of the small G protein Rac and appears to be expressed specifically in leukocytes. These cells express both Rac1 and Rac2 and Dock2 has been shown to bind and promote nucleotide exchange on both of these isoforms. (Nishihara, 1999)

Specificity

09-454 recognizes mouse DOCK2.
Predicted to cross react with human, equine, and primate, based on 93% sequence homology (13/14 aa). The sequence is 85.7% homologous in rat. Reactivity with other species has not been tested.

Immunogen

Epitope: Internal region
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide near amino acid 1730, within the internal region of mouse DOCK2.

Recent observations using multiphoton intravital microscopy (MP-IVM) have uncovered an unexpectedly high lymphocyte motility within peripheral lymph nodes (PLNs). Lymphocyte-expressed intracellular signaling molecules governing interstitial movement remain largely unknown. Here, we used MP-IVM of murine PLNs to examine interstitial motility
