product name
Laminin, mouse purified, Laminins are the major noncollagenous constituent of basement membranes. This purified mouse laminin was isolated from Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm (EHS) mouse sarcoma, a mouse tumor that produces large amounts of basement membranes.

Preparation Note
Preparation: Prepared from Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm {EHS} sarcoma according to the method of Templ et al 1979 {http://www.jbc.org/cgi/reprint/254/19/9933.pdf} Briefly, tumor homogenates were subjected to NaCl extractions and centrifugations. Laminin was found in the 0.5M NaCl fraction. After subsequent salt gradients and further centrifugation steps, the laminin was dialyzed against 2M urea and passed over a column of DEAE, followed by molecular sieve chromatography and concentration by ultrafiltration.
