No, this will affect the contact time, and the strips are not tested in this manner. It will lead to erroneous results. For best results, the strips should be dipped into the solution for approximately 1 second before proceeding to the next step.

General description
The MQuant® Potassium test includes test strips and all necessary additional reagents and is used to determine the potassium content of drinking water, mineral water, industrial water and waste water, soil samples, wine, beer and fruit juices. Potassium ions react with dipicrylamine to form an orange-colored complex. The potassium concentration is measured semi-quantitatively by visual comparison of the reaction zone of the test strip with the fields of a color scale. The test strips are perfect for pre-testing a sample in an economic and quick way to estimate the potassium concentration and a possible dilution factor prior to using a quantitative method such as a Reflectoquant® or Spectroquant® Potassium test.
