Application
ProteoPrep® Blue Albumin & IgG Depletion Kit has been used:
- to deplete serum samples from immunoglobulin (Ig) G and albumin
- for albumin removal
- for albumin and IgG removal
- to deplete abundant plasma proteins for two-dimensional electrophoresis
Biochem/physiol Actions
ProteoPrep blue albumin depletion kit is designed to specifically remove albumin and IgG from 25 samples of human serum (25μL to 100μL) in preparation for two-dimensional electrophoresis (2DE). Albumin-depleted serum samples generated by this kit are in urea rather than salt-based buffers with little dilution, eliminating the need to precipitate the sample prior to performing 2DE.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by progressive airflow limitation and abnormal inflammatory response of the lungs to inhaled noxious particles or gases. We used a proteomic approach with 2-DE followed by MALDI TOF-MS analyses in order to identify

Blood biomarkers are usually present in low concentration and can be masked by the high-abundance proteins, of which albumin is the predominant one. The purpose of this study was to compare four different albumin removal methods compatible with in-gel based

Chronic HBV infection (CHB) can lead to acute-on-chronic liver failure (HBV-ACLF) characterized by high mortality. This study aimed to reveal ACLF-related proteomic alterations, from which protein based diagnostic and prognostic scores for HBV-ACLF were developed. Methods: Ten healthy controls, 16

The development of a sensitive, specific, and non-invasive approach for cancer detection will facilitate early detection and, hence, improve the outcome of individuals with known cancer predispositions. Proteomic profiling of blood emerges to be a logical choice of such non-invasive
