General description

Native trypsin from human pancreas. Serine protease that specifically hydrolyzes amides, peptides, and proteins at the C-terminus side of arginine and lysine residues.

Unit Definition

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will hydrolyze 1 µmol of N-benzyl-L-arginine-pNA per min at 25°C, 200 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.8, 20 mM CaCl₂.

Prepared from tissue that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.
