General description

A negative allosteric modulator selective for NR2A containing NMDA receptors (pIC50 = 6.8 and <4.3 µM for NR2A and NR2B, respectively). No effect on NR2B-containing NMDA receptors with concentrations less than 50 mM. Inhibition on NR2A containing NMDA receptors is glycine (or D-serine)-binding, but not glutamate-binding, dependent.
