General description

The TEPC-183 tumor line that produces mouse IgM is a tetramethylpentadecane (pristane) induced plasmacytoma, originated and carried intraperitoneally in BALB/c mice. Mouse consists of five immunoglobulin classes- IgM, IgG, IgA, IgD and IgE. IgM is present on the surface of B lymphocytes in its monomeric form.

Application

IgM, Kappa from murine myeloma has been used as a control to study its effects on brain derived synaptic plasticity.

Biochem/physiol Actions

IgM antibodies are present as pentamers in serum and are produced in response to antigens.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute with 1 ml deionized water.
