The concentration of several parameters varies from lot to lot and is reported in the product Certificate of Analysis. As noted in the 'PROPERTIES' section, each vial will have a range of 3.5-25 mg protein/mL, 50-150 nmol/mL P450, and 6-14 nmol/mg protein. For example, a recent lot was found to have a P450 concentration of 13 nmol/mg protein and 5.1 mg protein/mL. The volume of the 1000 picomole package for this lot is 1.5 uL. Biochem/physiol Actions
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) is one of the isoforms of cytochrome P450 (P450s).[2] Cytochrome P450s (P450s) plays a vital role in processing endogenous compounds and xenobiotics, including pollutants, environmental compounds, and drug molecules. CYP3A4 oxidizes more than 90% of marketed drugs through various metabolic processes.[2][3]CYP3A4 mRNA expression is upregulated in pediatric Crohn’s disease.[4] Moreover, it provides high tolerance against herbicides such as mefenacet, amiprofos-methyl, pyributicarb, norflurazon, trifluralin, pendimethalin, chlorotoluron, and chloroacetamides.

Cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) indicates a mammalian enzyme (CYP) family 3, subfamily A, gene 4. There are 57 CYP genes and 33 pseudogenes in humans, organized into 18 families and 42 subfamilies. Among these, the 3A4 isoform (CYP3A4) is the most prevalent and is primarily found in the liver and gastrointestinal tract.[5]
