Application
- 1-Phenylethanol can be used in the acid catalyzed Ritter reaction to synthesize various N-benzylacetamides.
- It is one of the key precursors for the synthesis of [60] fullerene-fused isochroman derivatives via palladium-catalyzed hydroxyl-directed cyclization.
- It is used in Friedlander synthesis of quinolines where 1-phenylethanol reacts with 2-aminobenzylic alcohol derivatives to yield corresponding quinones.
- It can also be used in the regioselective, iridium-catalyzed multicomponent synthesis of pyrimidines.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?

Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.
