Branching frequency/degree of branching and hydrodynamic properties are not published. The end-group ratio is primary : secondary : tertiary = 1:1.2:0.76. As per the literature, branched polyethyleneimine is commonly described as about 25% primary, 50% secondary, and 25% tertiary, and is typically more compact in solution with limited viscosity changes across pH and ionic strength. General description
Application
PEI can be used to functionalize single-walled nanotubes (SWNTs) to improve their solubility and biocompatibility while maintaining the structural integrity of the original SWNT. Covalently functionalized SWNTs find application in CO2 absorption and gene delivery.
Branched PEI can also be used to modify the surface properties of adsorbents. PEI-modified hydrous zirconium oxide/PAN nanofibers are used for the defluorination of groundwater as they show high fluoride adsorption capacity and a wide working pH range.
Features and Benefits
Branched PEI has better complexation andbuffering capacity.

How can I determine the shelf life / expiration / retest date of this product?
1 answer-
If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

How is shipping temperature determined? And how is it related to the product storage temperature?
1 answer-
Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers. For more information, please refer to the Storage and Transport Conditions document: https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/deepweb/assets/sigmaaldrich/marketing/global/documents/316/622/storage-transport-conditions-mk.pdf

Do you have any GPC (Gel permeation chromatography) data for this product n°408727 that you can share?
1 answer-
This product is not tested by Gel Permeation Chromatography. The molecular weight distribution of this material has not been determined. However, historical information indicates the mole fraction of primary, secondary, and tertiary amines is 1:1.20:0.76. The material dispersity (Mw / Mn) is 25,000 / 10,000 = 2.5.

Can you please provide me with the number of primary amines per molecule for the product with the code 408727?
1 answer-
Approximately 6.4 mmol of primary amines per gram of dry substance. This calculation is derived from the equation 1/(1+1.1+0.7) multiplied by 18, resulting in 6.4.
