Lithium nitride (Li₃N) is a solid-state ionic conductor with an ionic conductivity of ~6 x 10⁻³ Scm⁻¹ and with a high Young′s modulus. It can generally be prepared by placing Li metal under nitrogen environment.

Application

Li₃N can be used in a variety of applications such as a hydrogen storage material, an electron injection material for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), and in the fabrication of lithium-ion batteries.
