Description

General description

1,2-Bis(dimethylphosphino)ethane (dmpe) is a polydentate phosphine ligand. Synthesis of 1,2-bis(dimethylphosphino)ethane has been reported. It reacts with ZrCl₂ to afford ZrCl₄(dmpe)₂ complexes.

Application

1,2-Bis(dimethylphosphino)ethane (dmpe) may be employed as ligand in the preparation of cis-arylmethyl(dmpe) nickel(II) complexes.
