General description

A unit of RM 8634 consists of a vial containing ~20 mL of a suspension of ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) particles in a solution of 0.02 % sodium azide and 0.02 % surfactant [4-(1,1,3,3-Tetramethylbutyl) phenyl-polyethylene glycol].

Application

Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene for Particle Size Distribution and morphology reference material is intended for use in validating the counting, sizing, and morphological analysis of liquid-borne particles that fall within a size range of approximately 1 µm to 30 µm.
