Description générale

N′-Nitrosonornicotine is a tobacco specific nitrosamine, which is found to be carcinogenic in nature. It is produced via nitrosation of nicotine during the process of curing, aging, processing and smoking of tobacco.

Application

N′-Nitrosonornicotine may be used as an analytical reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in biological samples using liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.

For marine fishes with a bipartite life cycle, pelagic larval dispersal can shape the distribution, connectivity, composition and resilience of adult populations. Numerous studies of larval dispersal, and associated settlement and recruitment processes, have examined the relationship between population connectivity

Reliable information on past and present vegetation is important to project future changes, especially for rapidly transitioning areas such as the boreal treeline. To study past vegetation, pollen analysis is common, while current vegetation is usually assessed by field surveys.
