HPLC Columns for Antibody and Large Protein Analysis

BIOshellTM IgG 1000 Å C4 U/HPLC of Monoclonal Antibodies, Antibody-drug Conjugates and Large Proteins

BIOshell™ IgG 1000 Å C4 is a high-speed, high-performance liquid chromatography column based on a wide-pore (1000 Å) Fused-Core® particle design.

BIOshell™ IgG 1000 Å C4 columns are highly suited for the reversed phase separation of high molecular weight compounds such as monoclonal antibodies with molecular weight of 150 kDa. BIOshell™ IgG 1000 Å C4 columns use a densely bonded, extensively endcapped, dimethylbutyl bonded phase that can withstand the low pH and high temperature mobile phases that are used for protein separations.

Due to low column bleed, these columns are fully compatible with LC-MS applications.

UHPLC and LC-MS BIOshell™ IgG 1000 Å C4 Improves Large Biomacromolecule Separations

  • LC/MS Analysis of Reduced SigmaMAb ADC Mimic on BIOshell™ IgG 1000 Å C4
  • UHPLC Analysis of SigmaMAb Universal Antibody Standard on BIOshell™ IgG 1000 Å C4
  • UHPLC Analysis of Rabbit Secretory IgA on BIOshell™ IgG 1000 Å C4

The BIOshell IgG 1000 Å C4 column, based on Fused-Core® particle technology, provides a thin, porous shell of high purity silica surrounding a solid silica core. This particle design exhibits high column efficiency due to the shallow diffusion path in the 0.5 µm porous shell. For large molecules with low diffusion kinetics, minimizing the diffusion path will result in sharper peaks and improved resolution of minor structural variants. The 1000 Å pore diameter also minimizes the chances of secondary size-exclusion effects due to a pore diameter that is too small to accommodate the large hydrodynamic radii of biomolecules.
