amlodipine besylate (5 μg/mL) (Resolution solution: Weigh 5.0 mg of Amlodipine Besylate in 5.0 mL volumetric flask. Add 5.0 ml hydrogen peroxide. Heat it at 70°C for 45 mins in waterbath.)

Description

Analysis Note

Preparation of Standards: Weigh 10 mg of amlodipine besylate in 20 mL volumetric flask. Add about 5.0 mL diluent and sonicate. Dilute up to the mark. Further dilute 1.0 mL to 100 mL with diluent.
Preparation of Tablets: Crush 20 tablets. Weigh powder equivalent to 5.0 mg amlodipine and transfer to a 50 mL volumetric flask. Add 30 mL diluent and sonicate for 20 mins. Dilute up to the mark.
Resolution solution: Weigh 5.0 mg of amlodipine besylate in a 5.0 mL volumetric flask. Add 5.0 mL hydrogen peroxide. Heat at 70°C for 45 mins in waterbath.
