General description

EPA 525 Fortification Solution A is a multi-component solution containing acenaphthene-d10, chrysene-d12, and phenanthrene-d10 as certified reference materials (CRMs).
For use in extraction and quantification of general purpose organics in raw source water, finished drinking water, and drinking water at various stages of treatment.

Application

EPA 525 Fortification Solution A is used as a CRM to quantify polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in cigarettes and sidestream cigarette smoke by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). It may be used as a CRM in the microwave-assisted extraction of PAHs, polychlorinated biphenyls, phthalate esters, and nonylphenols from biota samples such as oysters, mussels, and fish liver and sediment samples before their quantification using GC-MS.
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.

Other Notes

This Certified Reference Material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO 17034 and ISO/IEC 17025. All information regarding the use of this CRM can be found on the certificate of analysis.
