Cell Line Origin

Human lymphoblastoid, normal,EBV-transformed

Cell Line Description

The lymphocyte cell line LB185 has been established using mononuclear cells from peripheral blood of a 56 year old normal male. T cells from the same sample have been used as controls for cellular radiosensitivity studies. Cells have been subsequently transformed with EBV. Fibroblasts have been derived from the same individual and were designated 153BR (Sigma Catalogue number. 90011808). This has been confirmed by STR profiling at ECACC. Cells are lymphhoblastoid with floating aggregates present.

Application

Mutation studies
