  5. With what kind of plastic are the BRAND UV cuvettes made? Are they compatible with organic solvents like DMSO, as well as acids and bases?

    The BRAND (Brandtech Scientific) UV cuvettes are made of a proprietary plastic material that has excellent compatibility with acetone, acetonitrile, ethanol, isopropanol and DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide), The material also has excellent compatibility with acids (hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and trichloroacetic acid solution), and bases (sodium hydroxide solution). The cuvettes are not compatible with hydrocarbons (pentane, hexane, heptane, benzene and toluene) or chlorinated solvents (chloroform, carbon tetrachloride and trichloroethylene).
