Quality Control Testing

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected SLC31A1/CTR1 in Jurkat cell membrane preparations.

High affinity copper uptake protein 1 (UniProt: O15431; also known as Copper transporter 1, hCTR1, Solute carrier family 31 member 1) is encoded by the SLC31A1 (also known as COPT1, CTR1) gene (Gene ID: 1317) in human. SLC31A1 is a homotrimeric, multi-pass membrane protein with two extracellular domains (aa 1-61; 154-156), three transmembrane domains (aa 62-82; 133-153; 157-177), and two cytoplasmic domains (aa 83-132; 178-190). It serves as a high-affinity copper uptake protein that transports copper1+ from extracellular space to the cytoplasm and delivers to specific chaperones, such as Antioxidant 1 Copper Chaperone (ATOX1). The copper1+ transport mechanism is reported to be sodium-independent and is saturable. This transport is stimulated by extracellular acidic pH and high levels of potassium ions. Copper1+ import is reported to be regulated by a copper1+-dependent recycling of SLC31A1. It also participates in the first step of copper2+ acquisition by cells through a direct transfer of copper2+ from copper2+ carriers in blood then leading to copper2+ reduction and stabilization of copper1+. Its C-terminal domain is known to mediate copper1+ binding and is involved in the copper1+-dependent-ATOX1 interaction. It also limits transport through the pore by regulating the rate of exit of copper ions. Its N-terminal domain can collect copper2+ from copper2+ carriers in blood. SLC21A1 interacts with SLC31A2, and this interaction is shown to stabilize SLC31A2 and protect it from ubiquitination and degradation. 外觀
Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
